Pembina Education Society Adult Continuing Education Bursary
This Bursary is paid on behalf of a student demonstrating financial need to enable him/her to pursue education at a post-secondary level including university, college, technical institute or other educational institutions
This bursary will be awarded for students demonstrating financial need in a submitted application.
Applicants must be 20 years of age on or before September 1st, of the current year.
Applicants must be current residents at the time of application in the area served by the Drayton Valley Community Foundation. This area includes the Town of Drayton Valley as well as the surrounding areas of Alder Flats to Entwistle.
This bursary may apply to any field of study including the following:
- University and college academic disciplines
- A professional program such as law or medicine
- A trade such as plumbing or mechanics
- A defined skill such as paramedics, hairdressing and truck driver training courses
To qualify for such bursary, the fully completed application and supporting documents must be received by the Foundation on or before the respective deadline date.
Bursaries awarded will be based off available funds, number of eligible applicants, and tuition cost of the applicants. Applications will be held and re-evaluated 3 times a year. Applications will be terminated after July 31st. Applicants may apply one time per calendar year between July 1st and June 30th.
Application deadlines and disbursement amounts are as follows for the year:
July 31st – 40%
November 30th – 40%
March 31st – 20%
