Pembina Education Society Adult Continuing Education Bursary
Bursary Description
This Bursary is paid on behalf of a student demonstrating financial need to enable him/her to pursue education at a Canadian post-secondary level including university, college, technical institute or other educational institutions
Criteria
Applicants must be 20 years of age on or before September 1st, of the current year.
Applicants must be current residents at the time of application in the area served by the Drayton Valley Community Foundation. This area includes the Town of Drayton Valley as well as the surrounding areas of Alder Flats to Entwistle.
This bursary may apply to any field of study including the following:
- University and college academic disciplines
- A professional program such as law or medicine
- Academic upgrading
- A trade such as plumbing or mechanics
- A defined skill such as paramedics, hairdressing and truck driver training courses
- Must be a school located in Canada
To qualify for such bursary, the fully completed application and supporting documents must be received by the Foundation on or before the respective deadline date.
Bursary amounts will be based off available funds, number of eligible applicants, and tuition cost of the applicants.
Applications must be completed only once per calendar year between July 1st and June 30th. These applications will be held and re-evaluated up to 3 times a year. For each term, applicants must submit proof of enrollment and term fee assessment. Applications will be terminated after July 31st.
Application deadlines and disbursement amounts are as follows for the year:

Fall Term: July 1st – July 31st – 40%
